WHAT is GO Training? GO (Goal-Oriented) Training is a personalized skate training program intended for any level of skater and focused on goal setting and achievement.
We give you the tools you need to complete your goals including a customized 'just-for-you' monthly training schedule based on the activities you decide you can and WILL complete.
We then monitor your progress with monthly reviews of your training and quarterly reviews of your goals.
In addition, you get monthly one-on-one coaching & training.
Phases of GO Training:
*Induction Training- this is a 2-hour, one-on-one session with Paul.
Video of skating is taken to be analyzed & to review current skills.
Demo and hands-on training (when appropriate) of each skill set on your training schedules.
Improving current skills & introduction of new skills.
Upon completion of induction training, you will be asked to complete a Program Goals & Accomplishments worksheet. This will help outline your goals, performance & development needs. Quarterly, we’ll review this worksheet, monitoring your progression and identifying areas that need development.
Monthly
Training Schedule – personalized for you. We create this training schedule for your goals, your activities, your schedule.
Between the 20th-24th of each month, you will email us your logged training during the month (what you actually did).
Optional monthly training skate with Paul, given personal attention (perhaps during an APRR or NSP sponsored group skate). 5 days advance notice preferred.
Review Periods: Quarterly or every 3 participating months.
Review your long and short term goals. “Are you on track?”
Together we restate, or if necessary, modify your goals.
